Volunteering has been always a life (or at least mind) change experience. I have seen this a lot here in Peru, with local and foreigners. But with foreigner volunteers always the marks left are deeper. The situations in extreme poor zones (and post conflicts) of my country (in fact, any country) are really sad, and for people coming from a "normal" comfortable - near luxury (as said by london) way of life is really shocking.
We had many local programs here that not only help directly people from this zones, but generating conscience about those problems in our authorities, and general population.

Anyway... nice to see universities like Colgate are still developing and supporting these programs, cheers from Peru.

- Diseño Web
