What: Bangles and Bling After-Hours Event
When: Wednesday, October 1, from 6-8 p.m.
Where: The Bookstore’s first-floor Gift Wing
How (much): Free & open to all
You’re invited! Inspired by the positive energy of Alex and Ani (a socially-responsible designer of bangles and other jewelry), this event is meant as an evening for friends to gather and socialize at the Bookstore and learn more about the Fall, Holiday, and Charity by Design collections of the Alex and Ani lifestyle brand.
Locally-sourced refreshments will be provided, and everyone who attends will be entered to win one of two door prizes (with extra entries given for those who bring a friend).
Bookstore staff and a representative from Alex and Ani will be on hand to share the company’s story and explain the carefully researched and intentionally chosen meanings of the various pieces. They will also demonstrate how to find the most meaningful piece for the intended wearer, and provide gift-selection assistance.
A drop-in children’s program (with games and crafts) will be available for ages 3-10 on the third floor during the evening. This program is intended only for children whose grown-up(s) are present in the Gift Wing at the after-hours event. We want to make it easy for you to join us downstairs, knowing that your young one is being entertained upstairs.
