Martorana is a graduate of the College of Veterinary Medicine at Cornell University. He established the Hamilton Animal Hospital in 1993 and has operated it since that time. Over the years, he has been the “family doctor” for countless horses, cows, dogs, cats, and many other creatures in and around Madison County. His experiences with clients and animals, some humorous and others heart-rending, provide the backdrop for his novels.
