Gina Manziello '02 (right), who studied theater, voice, and psychology at Colgate before earning a master's in acting at USC, is starring this weekend in Frida, an opera about the life of the iconic Mexican artist Frida Kahlo.

The production at the Carrier Theater in Syracuse, N.Y., opens the 38th season of the Society for New Music.

G. Bruce Knecht '80 recalls researching a story in 1994 for The Wall Street Journal about a soon-to-be launched company called Amazon.com

Knecht went to the Amazon website, which was the first Internet site he had ever visited, on the only computer in the Journal newsroom that allowed access to the web.
