Colgate group sponsors TOMS Shoes fundraiser
"The sole purpose of the company is to give," said musician PJ Johnson.
What Johnson was talking about was TOMS Shoes, a nonprofit organization that donates a pair of shoes to a child in need for every pair purchased.

"The event will help raise money for a shoe drop planned this summer in Ethiopia and in selected parts of the United States," said Courtney Walsh '10, co-president of the Colgate chapter of Amnesty International, which sponsored the event.

Team hopes pink turns to green for cancer society
Pink is the new maroon this weekend at Starr Rink.
The women's hockey team will be playing in specially designed pink jerseys during its 7 p.m. Friday game against St. Lawrence and then again at 4 p.m. Saturday against Clarkson.
Raiders fans can show their support for the team and for the fight against cancer by buying the game-worn jerseys through an online auction. Pink ties and scarves worn by team coaches also will be available for purchase, with all proceeds going to the American Cancer Society
