Max A. Shacknai COVE and Upstate Institute Launch Work-Study Program

By Contributing Writer on September 13, 2015

In the fall of 2015, the Max A. Shacknai COVE and the Upstate Institute will join together with four local community agencies to offer paid internships to federal work-study-eligible students leading to lasting community outcomes and offering students who may not have the option to volunteer time at a nonprofit organization the opportunity to gain professional and leadership skills. Students will be working with the Hamilton Food Cupboard, Town of Hamilton, Board of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES), and Community Memorial Hospital. We are delighted to be able to move into this new territory and are eager to report the results of the first year of this new partnership.
