Max A. Shacknai COVE Honors Legacy of MLK with Afternoon of Service

On Friday, January 27th 2017, members of the faculty, staff and student body joined the Max A. Shacknai COVE’s biannual Afternoon of Service. The Afternoon of Service which takes place in the fall is in remembrance of 9/11 whereas the one which takes place in the spring commemorates the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

55 participants showed up on Friday afternoon and completed a variety of task in the Village of Hamilton and surrounding communities; these tasks included organizing, cleaning and anything else our community partners requested. Natalie Pudalov ’17 and Lauren Kozakiewicz ’17 organised the event and are extremely grateful to the students who volunteered as well as the student leaders of the Afternoon of Service.
