Fed Challenge team prepares for competition

By Nicole Simpson on October 11, 2013

Colgate’s Fed Challenge team recently traveled to New York City to attend an orientation. The Fed Challenge is a national competition in which teams of college students prepare monetary policy recommendations to their regional Fed bank. The winners advance to the national competition at the Board of Governors in Washington DC. The team’s first round of competition is in early November in New York City.

The highlight of the day was having lunch with Chris Burke, Colgate ’80, who works at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Current students Zach Pitowsky (’15), Erin Fett (’14), Mike Mangravite (’14), and Sara DiMassimo (’14) enjoyed the fancy lunch at the Fed and their conversation with Burke.  Thanks to Chris for hosting them, and good luck team!
