On Friday, December 6 at 5:00 p.m. in Golden Auditorium, Romanian fimmaker Corneliu Porumboiu will be present for a screening of his work, When Evening Falls on Bucharest or Metabolism as part of Colgate’s Friday Night 35mm Film Series. This is an opportunity for students to ask questions of and learn from an international artist who was recently named in The New York Times‘ “20 Directors to Watch.”
Porumboiu’s films, which portray and critique Romanian history, politics, and society, have garnered international attention, winning prizes at festivals including the Copenhagan International Film Festival, the Chicago International Film Festival, and Cannes.
