Konosioni recognizes members of the Colgate community who leave a profound impact on this campus through service, leadership, and dedication to the greater Colgate community. The Konosioni Class of 2013 is proud to revive the tradition of recognizing and celebrating the many movers and shakers of this campus.

The April award was given to the Thought Into Action Institute and participants for a very successful Entrepreneur Weekend.

The entire eWeekend filled  Colgate University with entrepreneurial spirit. Kicking off the 2nd Entrepreneur’s Weekend was a keynote address by Sheryl Sandberg, COO of Facebook. She spoke to the importance of men and women leaning in to encourage more females to shoot for positions high up in companies. A Demo Day of student ventures kicked off Saturday morning where the student founders presented their Thought Into Action projects that they had been working at all year. It was exciting to see students who followed their dream where no path had originally lay ahead of them and had the gumption to turn their dreams into reality. Following the trade show, there was a lunch that featured speaker Hamdi Ulukaya, CEO of Chobani, who will receive an honorary degree from Colgate this May during the Class of 2013 graduation. A third exciting part of the weekend was a TED Talks style event where successful alumni and student entrepreneurs presented for 10 minutes each about their inspiring ideas and what has made them successful. EWeekend was an electrifying event on campus because it brought the whole community together to showcase student and alumni ventures and celebrate one of Colgate’s distinguishing features – entrepreneurship.
