The Upstate Institute seeks to encourage Colgate faculty from all academic departments and programs to propose scholarship on, or directly pertaining to, the upstate region of New York. The Institute hopes to make several awards for faculty research, development of a research symposium, and scholarly collaborations to be implemented in the 2011-2012 academic year.
