SOAN alumnus Carole McGranahan ’91, Associate Professor of Anthropology at the University of Colorado, is making the news thanks to a recent talk she gave at Yale University. McGranahan, whose research focuses on contemporary Tibet, argues that Tibet is among the world’s most isolated places, due to China’s restrictions on academics and journalists in the region.
